A LITTLE BEHIND THE SCENES AT HABIT & HUSTLE CO.

I wanted to take a moment to share a little about what goes into creating my planners and how I determine the pricing of my products.

When you see a finished planner, you see the colors, the layouts, the pages, and the final design. What you don't always see is the time, thought, creativity, and attention to detail that went into bringing that planner to life.

For me, creating a planner is so much more than simply putting pages together or uploading a finished file.

It starts with an idea.

From there, I spend time choosing the right colors, fonts, layouts, and designs. I carefully work through individual pages, create sections that are both useful and visually appealing, and make adjustments along the way.

Sometimes a page comes together perfectly the first time. Other times, I may redesign it several times before I'm happy with the result.

There are calendars to organize, trackers to create, pages to format, details to check, and countless little decisions that go into making sure everything works together.

Some planners take hours to design, while others can take days or even longer to complete.

And that's something I really want my customers to understand.

There is a difference between uploading a planner that has already been created and taking the time to design one from the ground up. Both have their place, but the amount of time and creative work involved can be very different.

When I price my products, I'm considering more than just the finished item.

I'm also considering the time spent designing, the creative process, the revisions, the tools and software I use, and, for physical products, the printing, materials, and other costs involved in bringing everything together.

A planner may only take a few moments to purchase or download, but the work behind creating it happens long before it ever reaches my shop.

As a small business owner, one of the things I'm learning is how important it is to value my own time and creativity while still offering products at prices that are fair to my customers.

My goal has never been to simply put a product out there. I want to create planners and stationery that are thoughtful, functional, enjoyable to use, and worth the investment.

I know there are many places you can purchase planners, and I truly appreciate every person who chooses to support mine.
